Jack Baker
Founder and Plant Curator
Jack is the reason we are here all here in the first place! For over 40 years, Jack has created and guided his business from a small plant shop into the plant and glass destination experiences that are today The Glass Garden of Canton, Architectural Greenery, and Akron Glass Works. With so much time and experience in the world of plants, Jack has an eye for perfection and regularly travels to hand-select the very best plants for our retail and commercial customers.
Kenny Freda
General Manager and Head Plant Technician
Kenny keeps everything running smoothly at The Glass Garden and at all of our commercial maintenance accounts. If you appreciate the plants at any of the businesses you go to, chances are Kenny is the one taking care of them! Kenny and his team of plant technicians take care of hundreds of plants at dozens of businesses between Canton and Cleveland. Nicole Rasmussen
Retail Manager and Plant Instructor
Nicole is the reason our shop looks spectacular and our plants are the coolest in town! With an Associates of Science degree in Greenhouse Management and Production from ATI Wooster, she has one of the greenest thumbs around! She loves helping customers find the perfect plant for their needs and teaching our Plant Care 101 classes and our Terrarium workshops. Angela Manes
Administrative Assistant and Coordinator
Angela is the newest member of the Glass Garden team. A former Jackson High School English teacher, she makes sure all of our paperwork is in order and helps Kenny with the logistics of our commercial plant maintenance service.
Chris Jackson
Glassblower
Chris Jackson is originally from outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Kent State University in 2020 with a double major in both Glass and Jewelry/Metals. He recently started teaching glassblowing workshops at The Glass Garden of Canton. Whenever he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking meals, or being out in nature.
